Hi HN! I built Huesnatch because I was tired of manually extracting competitor colors or uploading client images to random tools that might steal the data.
Everything runs locally in your browser. Paste a URL → Upload a photo → get a 5-color palette. Explore thousands of palettes. get their exact brand colors. No server sees anything.
The GitHub repo has docs and examples. The actual tool is at https://huesnatch.com - completely free, no login required.
Would love your feedback on the URL extractor accuracy. Thanks for checking it out!
With all due respect to open source and free tools, this page is so annoying that I will never use it again.
The website feels quite sluggish, especially when hovering color palettes. There's some missing CSS optimization here.
And I'm not sure what the point is linking to a Github repo that only has a License and a Readme?
I use this one

I tried the colour game but found it terribly confusing.
Why linking to an empty GH repo? Is this a new way of doing SEO for projects?
OSR ― Open Source README.
