Aren’t US bases so badly defended that they had to abandon them in Middle East at times because they couldn’t defend them?
The article is talking about bases in the US not the Middle East.
Would that not be true of them as well if an adversary wanted to target those bases? If US can’t shoot down incoming threats in the Middle East - what makes them able to do it in mainland US? It is the same defence systems.
