I wanted to explore a more visual way to work with coding agents.
With CleanCode, Claude Code and Codex can share a workspace and send tasks to each other. I can see their work on the same canvas and step in when needed
CleanCode is a canvas-based ADE (Agentic Development Environment) for working alongside AI. I can focus on what I want to do, while agents help me figure out the tools and set things up. When I want to work on multiple things in parallel, I can use separate branch workspaces, each with its own canvas, terminals, and agents. I can also ask an agent to help set up terminal workflows through MCP, then review and run them myself
what made you settle on the thought that you ll build this?

is this different from Maestri?

They’re quite similar — both use a canvas to work with multiple agents. But CleanCode is open source under the MIT license
