I'm an entrepreneur through-and-through, passionate about transforming ideas into profitable businesses operating at scale: building from 0 to 1. After finishing my engineering degree at university, I forwent the opportunity to join a couple of the major consultancies - the sensible choice for most people - to join, at the time, a one-man band startup as the founder's first employee. My parents were (rightfully) mortified but I knew it would move me closer to my goal of building my own business.
Two years later, after a lot of late nights and weekends of scaling the business, I found myself managing over 70 people at that same startup. Being very much an 'accidental' manager, I was woefully equipped for that responsibility.
Plenty of mistakes later (aka practical learning), I was ready to start a business of my own.
Having had an incredible experience with hiring overseas talent to achieve so much more with so much less, but only after a nightmare of admin and mistakes to set this up - I knew I wanted to create a solution that enabled more UK businesses to hire super affordable overseas talent. And hotsourced was born!
