- Stevie Bennett is a software architect, C#/.NET developer and founder of Helmworks, where she builds AI-driven software systems and autonomous agent infrastructure.
She began her development career in 1992 and has worked with .NET since its original release in 2002. Her experience spans enterprise architecture, ASP.NET, Azure, data platforms, systems integration and application delivery, including technology projects in higher education.
Alongside decades of client work, Stevie has founded and operated multiple ventures and spent three years as a full-time quantitative trader, applying software engineering and systematic analysis to financial markets.
Her current focus is Relay, an agent orchestration platform designed to coordinate AI developers and other specialist agents through defined responsibilities, work queues, reviews and verifiable outcomes.
She writes about .NET engineering, software architecture, AI agents, the economics of automation and the practical challenges of building reliable systems, with an emphasis on working software rather than fashionable technology.
